- Soft Play and Tactile
- Lets Pretend / Role Play
- Construction
- Games
- Activity Toys
- Outdoor and Adventure
- Mobility
- Snoezelen Multi Sensory Equipment

- Jigsaw/Inset Board
- Waterplay
- Tracking
Snoezelen
People with learning disabilities often have a primary need for stimulation, and are sometimes prevented from expressing and fulfilling this need in an appropriate way. Snoezelen was developed specifically to meet their needs. The equipment offers a range of sensory stimulation involving:
- Sight
- Touch
- Smell
- Hearing
- Movement
Other Information
The equipment can be used in a large centre or at home, can be enjoyed by people with or without a disability, so in other words can be adapted and enjoyed on a large or small scale
The W.R.K. Supa mobility bikes are amongst the most popular pieces of equipment. Built to withstand sturdy use they are extremely safe and fitted with supports providing opportunity to exercise and strengthen muscles.
The price of specialist equipment (e.g. bikes, snoezelen, musical instruments and computer software) often means that many of our members are unable to try and benefit from this experience. We have been able to purchase these items with the help of
- Children in Need
- Northern Rock Foundation
- Coalfields Regeneration
- Baily Thomas
- Local Industries and Other Bodies
We are grateful to them for their support and the opportunity given to our members to experience such items. |
